An old acquantince of mine, Dougal, ran into a few problems with his passport. However, it was vanity and stupidity that really caused the problem.

Having lost his password, he informed the authorities, and was issued with a replacement by them. However, in the meantime he found the old password, and then when the new one arrived, he decided that he was better looking in the old photo and so decided that he would use that passport.

Leaving the country proved to be no issue, the passport wasn't thoroughly checked, but the problem arose on coming back in - as the passport flashed up as reported lost, and so the immigration authorities had to detain him for several hours to check up on his story. Vanity and stupidity can lead you into all sorts of trouble.
